Craig Skaggs

Craig Skaggs began his art career while still in high school illustrating children's books for a small publisher. He became a full-time freelance artist in 1993 doing commercial art for several advertising agencies, and illustrations for a publishing company that produced teaching materials for classrooms.

Soon after, Craig was selected to illustrate Star Wars art for Brown Shoe Company's lines of shoes.

He later branched out into book cover art, toy, display and product design, medical illustration for the American College of Cardiology and the American Academy of Allergy Asthma and Immunology, children's books, independent comics, video and roll playing games, convention art, and much more. Skaggs even designed the jet shoes seen in Spy Kids 2.

Craig's journey into fine art began with Lucasfilm Ltd. (even selling two of his originals to George Lucas himself), then to the Disney Gallery Division and Disney Fine Art / Collectors Editions as a licensed Disney Fine Artist. He is now contracted with Topps Fanatics doing Star Wars, Disney, and holds many other licenses.
