Jenny Lanna
"I create my artwork to strengthen the feeling of connection. I believe in cherishing the connections we have and make in life, whether it be with other people, places, or particular objects. I often utilize symbolic imagery such as water, bridges, and trees to represent these relationships we form. When exploring my work, I want the viewer to feel the warmth of a memory or dream of those to come."
Born and raised in the Sunshine State, Jenny Lanna began her artistic passion as a child drawing everything she could get her eyes on. With a strong influence from her Japanese heritage, she spent much of her time capturing the life of her grandmother’s garden on
paper. After years of filling every page of her sketchbooks, her hard work paid off. At the age of 13, Jenny received her first portrait commission, soon followed by many more.
With college being the first time Jenny would take a real art class, she fell even more in love with the creation process. Immersing herself into as many avenues of art as possible, Jenny continued working on her craft in a different way. As she attended her art classes during the day, she began her tattoo apprenticeship at night.
By the time she graduated with her fine art degree, she was a full-time licensed tattoo artist. After years of balancing the fine art world with the custom tattoo culture, Jenny has devoted her recent years to painting.
Jenny is a contemporary fine artist and licensed Disney Fine Artist.
